Resource: Black Feminist Writing
I reviewed Stephanie Y. Evans' academic writing guide, Black Feminist Writing (SUNY Press, 2024), for The Editor's Weekly. This book is quite different from other scholarly publishing advice books out there. It centers wellness in the writing process, something I’ve been working for with my coaching clients for years. Hurray, Dr. Evans! I recommend checking it out, especially for Black women scholars, anyone in the academy with marginalized identities, and anyone feeling like they need to reframe their academic work.
